Boots Vitamin C Brightening Eye Gel
Lack of sleep - whether it be stress-related, booze-related or, if you're me, mummy-related - affects us in many ways. Sometimes, it makes us a little grouchy, sometimes, it even makes us feel a little teary and sorry for ourselves. But if there's one thing you can pretty much guarantee, it's that your shortage of sleep will show on your face.
I think I speak for all of us when I say that eye bags, dark circles and puffy eyes are not invited to the party (ever.) And that's why I take such great care of the skin around my eyes. I want my eyes to look bright, youthful and fresh at all times - even when I'm surviving on three hours of sleep! And thanks to a new - very affordable - addition to my skincare routine, my eyes are looking much brighter.
The Boots Vitamin C Brightening Eye Gel is a newbie on the block both in my wash bag, and the skincare world in general. Boots have recently launched their own line of skincare featuring tons of fabulous, purse-friendly skincare products, and this one in particular I just knew I had to try straight away.
The reason that this product excited me so much is because it contains vitamin c - the ingredient I am most obsessed with when it comes to skincare right now. I also desperately needed a new eye cream and wanted to try something different, so this was a no brainer - especially with it costing just £4!
I absolutely love a bargain skincare product and this has proven to be exactly that. It's just lovely.
One of the things that really appealed to me about this eye product was the formulation of the product. I love gel textures because they're super lightweight and absorbent. This is particularly beneficial for those who - like myself - wear makeup regularly and want something that's just as lightweight as it is nourishing.
If you're looking for an eye product that feels intensively moisturising, then truthfully, this probably isn't the right one for you. However, what I would say is that this one is perfect for during the day. As I said before, it sinks into the skin quickly and doesn't interfere with makeup. Personally, I absolutely love it - but at night time, it is nice to use something thicker and more luxurious, like the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado.
As super affordable, daytime eye products go, it doesn't really get much better than this if you ask me. So, if you'd like to try something new that won't break the bank, then this eye treatment gel is absolutely perfect.
